Dr Alistair Robson (BSC (HONS) FRCPATH DipRCPath) is a specialist (DipRCPath) and general (FRCPATH) Dermatopathologist (pathologist specialising in skin conditions). He spent 14 years working as a Consultant Dermatopathologist at St John’s Institute of Dermatology in St Thomas’ Hospital in London.
With 15 years’ worth of experience in teaching Dermatopathology on MSc courses, Dr Robson organises teaching seminars both in Britain and overseas. He is Chief Examiner for the Dermatology section of the Asian Academy of Dermatology and organiser and co-founder of the International London Dermatopathology Symposium. He also co-founded the UK ABC Course in Dermatopathology, which he co-organised and taught on for five years.
Dr Robson has presented research and been an invited speaker in the UK, Europe, United States, Australia, India, Malaysia and the Middle East. At present he is a Consultant Dermatopathologist for LDPath Group, a specialist private pathology company. He is also a Visiting Pathologist at the Lisbon Institute of Oncology.
Dr Robson was the Pathology lead for the EORTC cutaneous lymphoma pathology working group. He reviews Dermatopathology papers for several journals and has more than 100 articles published in peer-reviewed journals. The journals he reviews include Scientific Reports, the Journal of Cutaneous Pathology and the Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
